The Direction In Building Our Spiritual Foundation is just a short article to explain that we need to give Jesus total Lordship over our lives to build a rock-solid spiritual foundation.
“Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, “Behold, I lay in Zion A chief cornerstone, elect, precious, And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”
1 Peter 2:6
When a structure is planned and constructed in architecture, the first stone that is laid is a cornerstone.
Also, the geographical location of the building is marked by the cornerstone when the building is oriented in a specific direction.
Some commentaries describe Zion also as a spiritual location and an eternal Jerusalem.
When God planned His Kingdom in the world, He took His most precious Son Jesus Christ, His elect, and used Him as a cornerstone.
Not only to give support to the foundation of His Kingdom but to show us the direction.
If the cornerstone were to be removed, the whole building will fall apart.
To have strong foundations in our own lives we also need to lay our precious Lord Jesus as a cornerstone when we build our spiritual foundation.
Then Jesus will have complete Lordship over our lives and we who believe in Him will by no means be put to shame.

God’s biggest dream and goal for each one of us is that none of us should perish but have eternal life.
As parents we only want what is best for our children, we talk to them, encourage them, and pray that they will stay on the small road and not wander off on the wrong paths to destruction.
We have no power over their future and have no assurance that the dreams we have for their lives will become a reality.
Our Almighty God does have that power, and He can and do make plans and decisions for our lives beforehand (foreordained) until they become a reality (manifest).
Before the foundation of the world, Christ was part of God’s plan for the world, for you and me.
He gave His only begotten Son for us, so we could have eternal life.

If One Suffers, All Suffer with it is an article I wrote to illustrate if one area of our lives suffers, or falls apart, it affects all the other areas of our lives as well.
It is only in the last five years of my life that I started (trying) to become more organized and disciplined in my everyday routine and household.
I love reading articles on this as well and started implementing some of it in my life.
But just like sanctification, I believe it will be an ongoing learning process to perfection.
My husband has a habit of looking through his closet for clean clothes to wear the next day.
Then he will decide what he will wear and take his clothes out and hang them on the door of his closet, everything he will wear the next day even his underwear and socks.
By doing this the evening before he can get dressed the next morning without having to waste time by looking for clothes that don’t fit.
His day starts peacefully with a sense of accomplishment, he will be on time for work and can start his day in a relaxed manner.
If he didn’t do it, he will run around the next morning in a hurry, don’t know what to wear, look over the things he is looking for.
His day starts anxious, irritated, and moody, will be late for work, and his day will start in chaos.
“And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; or if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.”
1 Corinthians 12:26-27
In this Scripture, Paul was talking about the body of Christ, but this is true for every other area of our lives, if one area of our life suffers, it will influence all the other areas as well.
This is then also why it is so important to lay Rock solid foundations in our spiritual lives.
If one layer of the foundation is weak and brittle it will have a major effect with devastating effects on the other areas as well.
If one layer of our spiritual foundation is not built with lasting material that will not decay and is fireproof, it will affect not only our spiritual lives and relationship with God but will also have a ripple effect in our personal lives.
